The 1-metre Yeelight Lightstrip Plus extension is a modular component designed to extend the smart ambient lighting systems of the Xiaomi ecosystem. Intended for interior design projects, furniture backlighting (TVs, desks) or highlighting commercial displays, this extension allows the 2-metre base strip to be lengthened without losing colour synchronisation. Its integration is completely seamless for the end user, with the strip being recognised as a single lighting unit in smart home interfaces.

Technically, the extension uses high-quality RGB LED diodes capable of reproducing 16 million colours with exceptional transition fluidity. The strip is flexible and can be cut at the indicated marks to fit the dimensions of the surface precisely. Connection is made via a proprietary "Plug & Play" connector system located at the end of the main strip or a previous extension, ensuring secure electrical continuity and faithful transmission of the Wi-Fi control signals emitted by the master controller.

Thanks to its compatibility with major voice assistants and the Mi Home app, this extension helps create complex lighting scenarios, including music synchronisation or scheduling. The back of the strip is equipped with high-performance 3M adhesive, ensuring a durable fix on various surfaces such as metal, glass or smooth polymers.

Workshop Advice & Usage

Important note for the retailer: this product is an extension and does not include a mains plug or Wi-Fi control box. Before installation, ensure that the mounting surface is perfectly degreased with isopropyl alcohol to guarantee the strip's adhesion. When connecting to the base, make sure to align the connector pins correctly before clipping the plastic protector. Avoid excessive tension on the strip's solder points when going around right angles; prefer gentle curves to preserve the integrity of the flexible printed circuit (FPC).
