To guarantee the advertised 20 Gbps performance, ensure your client's host port is specifically USB 3.2 Gen2x2 certified. During assembly, it is imperative to correctly apply the provided thermal pads between the SSD and the aluminium wall to ensure efficient thermal transfer. Without this thermal contact, the SSD risks throttling its speed for safety (thermal throttling). Note that this enclosure is not compatible with M.2 SSDs using the SATA protocol (B-Key / NGFF); systematically check the drive notch before installation to avoid any damage to the connector.
