Description
The Mechanic SIM-T1 is an essential diagnostic interface for resolving SIM card reading issues ("No SIM", "Network Error") on iOS and Android smartphones. Workshop Advice & Usage
For effective diagnosis, first use your multimeter in diode mode (red probe to ground) on the various SIM-T1 test points. Compare the values obtained with those of a functional motherboard ("Gold Board" reference). If all diode mode values are correct but the SIM is still not detected, use a stabilised power supply to check if the SIM VCC voltage (usually 1.8V or 3.0V) appears briefly during insertion: if it is absent, the problem lies with the PMIC or the mechanical detection of the tray.
