Replacement Battery for iPhone with Texas Instruments chip
This replacement battery is designed for professional-grade maintenance and allows you to restore battery life close to the original on Apple smartphones. Designed for repairers, it combines a new cell, reliable management electronics, and full regulatory compliance for stable, safe repairs without any unpleasant surprises in the workshop.
Our difference is not based on a marketing promise, but on transparency: we precisely document the actual characteristics of the product and its behaviour in iOS, so that you can undertake every repair with full knowledge of the facts.
A reliable and accurate charge status
The battery incorporates a Texas Instruments gauge chip that calculates the charge status accurately and keeps it correct over time. The displayed percentage remains consistent with the actual battery life, without sudden drops or erratic values. This fine energy management contributes to system stability and a consistent user experience throughout the charge cycle.
Compatibility and display in iOS
Depending on the iPhone model and the iOS version, the device may indicate that it is unable to verify the origin of the battery. This behaviour is normal for any battery not manufactured by Apple (excluding the Prime range): it does not affect performance, safety, or the product's lifespan.
The battery health status remains viewable: directly in iOS on recent models, or using workshop diagnostic software on all models. You thus retain full control over the actual state of the battery, before and after installation.
Technical specifications
- New cell, zero cycles: each battery is based on a new, never-used cell.
- Lithium cobalt chemistry: a stable and proven chemistry, guaranteeing consistent performance over time.
- Capacity equivalent to original: capacity (mAh) equivalent to that of the original battery, for battery life faithful to expectations.
- Long-lasting endurance: number of charge cycles in the same range as an original battery, under normal conditions of use.
- Texas Instruments gauge: reliable and durable reading of charge status and battery life.
- Integrated protections: protection against overcharging, overvoltage, short circuits, and excessive temperatures.
- Pre-installed adhesive: for quick and secure installation.
- CE compliance: lithium-ion polymer battery compliant with European requirements.
- Pre-market checks: each reference is subjected to rigorous compliance tests before being placed on the market.
Safety and best handling practices
The manufacturing quality of our batteries is subject to strict controls that manage the risks of intrinsic defects. Rare cases of thermal runaway are therefore almost systematically linked to external factors during transport, installation, or final use.
Respecting best practices by the technician is the key to a reliable and durable repair:
- Mandatory inspection before installation: It is the repairer's responsibility to carry out a careful and meticulous visual inspection of the new battery before installation. This step is crucial and requires your full attention. Look for any anomaly (swelling, traces of leakage, whitening, smell of electrolyte) which must lead to its rejection.
- Chassis check: Before installation, ensure that the battery compartment is perfectly clean, without foreign bodies (screws, debris). The slightest roughness can create excessive pressure and damage the battery.
- Internal component pressure: When closing the device, particular vigilance is required. Ensure that no abnormal pressure is exerted on the battery by elements such as the screen clips, which could damage its casing.
- Vigilance regarding chargers: Make your customers aware of the importance of using original or certified chargers. A poor-quality charger can neutralise protection circuits and cause overcharging, constituting a proven risk factor.
Compliance and regulatory obligations
UTOPYA respects all regulatory obligations relating to the placing on the market of lithium-ion batteries. Each product is accompanied by an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC), a document attesting that rigorous compliance checks have been carried out prior to marketing, in accordance with European requirements (Directive 2013/56/EU).
As a producer, UTOPYA pays the legal eco-contribution on each battery placed on the market, guaranteeing their management at the end of their life. This approach is part of our commitment to a responsible circular economy and complies with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations.
